Background

Youth RISE is currently developing and piloting a multilingual elearning platform. Modules on drug policy, harm reduction and advocacy are currently being piloted. This piece of work will produce modules on public health and human rights issues affecting young people who use drugs and other inadequately served populations. 

Tasks:

Youth RISE is seeking to hire a consultant to to develop elearning material on public health and human rights affecting young people who use drugs and other inadequately served populations. These materials will be developed in Powerpoint and Adobe Captivate  and will be published according to Creative Commons Licences. 

Specific tasks include:

  • Scoping key public health and human rights issues affecting young people who use drugs in liaison with Youth RISE and consortium partners;
  • Developing one elearning module introducing key issues and concepts in public health and human rights;
  • Developing one elearning module on public health and human right issues affecting young people who use drugs and other inadequately served youth populations;
  • Developing one module on key advocacy areas and opportunities for public health and human rights for young people who use drugs;
  • Developing quiz modules for the material in Adobe Captivate or developing these in partnership with the Project Manager;
  • Identifying key suitable images for use in the material.

Timeframe and Budget:

This work should be completed by the 31st July. 3000 USD is available for this work. 

Essential Skills and Experiences:

  • An in depth understanding of public health and human rights issues faced by young people who used drugs and other inadequately served populations;
  • Experience in developing educational materials in the area;
  • Experience in using Powerpoint. 

Preferable:

  • Experience working with Adobe Captivate, Articulate or other elearning platforms;
  • Experience working with Social Learner and LearnDash;
  • Experience working with and for young people who use drugs.
