This input aims to contribute to the annotated outline of the general comment on drug policy developed by the UN Committee on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights. It brings resources and concerns highlighting the impact of drug policies on the economic, social, and cultural rights of young people. Topics covered include: access to education, the impact of criminal records on young people’s rights (right to information, education, access to health), inaccessibility of healthcare and harm reduction services for young people who use drugs, coerced/forced treatment for adolescents and youth, stigma and discrimination, and impact on young people who use drugs, meaningful engagement of young people who use drugs.
