About Santiago Camarra
Santiago is a harm reduction professional from the Philippines, currently based in the Netherlands. His Social and Cultural Anthropology Master’s research on chemsex, carried out in collaboration with Mainline Foundation, earned him the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam Faculty of Social Sciences Master’s Thesis Award. Santiago has also worked for De Regenboog Groep as a day-coordinator at their drop-in centre/drug consumption room for unhoused European migrants, as well as their mobile drug consumption room. He is committed to advocating for the rights of people who use drugs, particularly those in vulnerable and marginalised populations. He is interested in pursuing research opportunities to strengthen harm reduction initiatives.
