About Pedro Ivo Oliveira

Pedro Ivo Oliveira is a Brazilian interdisciplinary advocate and researcher currently serving as a Health Officer at GATE – Global Action for Trans Equality. Pedro have worked with several intergovernmental organizations advancing the rights of key populations and marginalized communities such as the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) and the Organization of American States (OAS), as well as with international NGOs including the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association (ILGA World), Harm Reduction International (HRI), Outright International, and Open for Business. He is also a Salzburg Global Fellow and holds a Master’s in International Development, specializing in Gender, Race and Diversity, from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, with mobility to the MSc in Global Health at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva, both in Switzerland.
