About Matias Gálvez Balseca
Matias is a young lawyer in search of drug policy reform, with experience working in Ecuador’s top law firms, driven by the necessity of change. He leads the constitutional efforts to implement a safe and responsible cannabis legalisation as well as to incentivise harm-reduction programs among YPWUD.
Experienced on corporate and economic law, Matias aims to implement a regulatory framework that benefits all citizens, especially marginalised and vulnerable groups. Since 2024 he’s worked on drug policy reform alongside youth and cannabis organisations.
