International Working Group Member
Florencia is an anti-prohibitionist and feminist social activist who, after graduating as a psychologist in her native country Chile, decided to take a new direction and specialise in the field of alcohol and other drug use, an area in which she has been very interested since she was a teenager. Barcelona became her new home and place of work. During her time in the Youth RISE working group, she aims to contribute to the visibility of the harm reduction projects that are carried out in Catalonia, as well as to create content and campaigns to raise awareness among young people about the consumption of alcohol and other drugs, and promote healthy sexualities. Today, more than ever, it is important to work for drug education from a harm reduction, feminist and anti-prohibitionist perspective, as current drug policies have proven to be a failure, especially for the younger generations.
