About André Gomes
André is the communications lead of Release, the UK’s national centre of expertise on drugs and drug law. Beyond advocating for decriminalisation within the UK, he is also the editor of TalkingDrugs.org, a multilingual global platform for the discussion of drug-related news and perspectives. André is particularly interested in exploring how online harm reduction spaces are created and subvert prohibitionist views on drugs, as well as the connection between racial and environmental justice and drug policy changes. He is originally from Portugal, but currently lives in London.
